Clay is central to Qassim’s art and identity. Growing up in a clay-brick home by the Tigris, he first scratched drawings into wet clay after rain—a revelation that shaped his creative path.

For Qassim, clay embodies history and transformation, cycling from dust to form and back again. This endless reinvention mirrors his artistic process, where ancient materials and forms are reimagined through a modern lens.
